We believe that everyone has a gift to give the body – a place they can contribute to the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 12 outlines many of these gifts and Paul takes care to mention that they are given for the good of the whole body. Leadership is one of the gifts given to encourage, envision and build-up the church.
Our Team consists of the Board of Directors, Pastoral Elders, Lay Elders, and Ministry & Support Staff. The Leadership team meets as a whole on occasion to pray, listen and discuss matters of vision and direction. Each part of the team has it’s own role to play.

Mauritz van den Heever
Originally from South Africa, Mauritz has spent over three decades serving the Vineyard movement as a youth pastor, lead pastor, and itinerant speaker. In 2023, he relocated to Winnipeg with his wife, Estelle, and son, Benjamin. Mauritz is passionate about teaching, leadership development, social justice, and helping people walk in the way of Jesus. Outside of ministry, Mauritz loves travelling, exploring new places with his family, listening to music, and diving into a good book.
