The Vineyard School of Justice, in collaboration with International Justice Mission, is hosting a screening of the IJM film “At the End of Slavery: The Battle for Justice in Our Time” to promote awareness of global justice issues.
The film “takes you inside the violent and ugly business of modern-day slavery — the buying and selling of human beings — from the brothels of the Philippines to the brick kilns of India. Shot on location in the Philippines, India, Cambodia and the U.S., At the End of Slavery takes you to the frontlines of today’s battle for justice and includes true stories of former slaves and undercover footage from police operations to rescue children from brothels. First-person testimony […] and respected experts expose the enormity of the crime — but a remarkable strategy and the courage of today’s abolitionists offer hope for a final end to this brutal trade.”
After the screening, Angie Redecopp (Director of Development at IJM Canada) will give a presentation on IJM and its work.

“Farm Days” are a great way to connect over the summer! Right after church, we take a bus down to the LBE camp for a barbecue lunch, swimming/kayaking in lake, and fellowship with friends!
Here are the directions to get to the camp:
- Take #1 East (MB-1 E) and turn left on MB-11 N (Hadashville)
- Explore Bible Camp is the 3rd road off of MB-11 N, just past the Co-op gas. Turn right at the big yellow and green sign, and follow the road to the end.
- Total travel time takes approximately 1 hour + 15 minutes

Stan and Sophia will be hosting a “Tech – Do the Things Day” on Saturday, November 5, basically we are going to spend the day 9 – 5, doing some bigger projects we’ve wanted to do to improve the stage/ sound area… Such as: reroute the chords to remove the feedback destroyer, reposition speakers and go through the snake channels to name a few. Everyone is invited to come and help out (in fact we welcome it) and we’ll have some easier tasks to do as well. We could also use this day for some training as we’ve been trying out a new program for lyrics if anyone was keen for those on the projection side. So if anyone is interested in helping out even just for a couple hours let us know! Lunch will be provided!
